Ethnic Architecture
China Nationalities Museum (Chinese Ethnic Culture Park) is an ethnic building complex. There will be 56 groups of constructions representing 56 Chinese nationalities respectively and the building work of 44 groups have completed now.
These building may be built for living, religious activities or landscaping. They were built in various style to present all types of Chinese traditional architecture, e.g., cellar, stilt, cave, tent, tower house, courtyard, etc. The process in style selection, design, material, construction, and convention are all conform to the standards established for reproduction of culture relics. There for, every building has full features of culture relics and suitable to be shared by architect, anthropologist and naturalist as a research object.
The China Nationalities Museum won the Prize for Protecting the Ethnic Building issued by the Organization Committee of World Conference of Architects in 1998.
