An Introduction to Tibetan Nationality
    With a population of 5,416,000, the Tibetans live mainly in Tibet Autonomous Region and the provinces of Qinghai, Sichuan, Gansu and Yunnan. The Tibetan language belongs to the Tibetan branch of the Tibetan-Burmese group of the Chinese-Tibetan language family. The writing language is preserved.
    Tibetans engaged in farming and animal husbandry. They are skill in feeding yak. Highland barley is major product of agricultural area. Barley flour, ghee tea and red meet are their major food. People live in tent in pastureland area and for those who live in agricultural area live in stone tower house.
    The Tibetan New Year and the Xuedun Festival are most celebrated. The predominant religion is Mahayana.

    The pilgrimage road, the city of altar, sections of Jokhang Temple, sections of the octagonal street, Kangba dwellings, incense burner, shaft of yak flag, the Marnyi Stone, prayer wheel, the linka and etc.
