  An Introduction of Hani Nationality
  With a population of 1,439,700, Hani live mainly in Honghe Hani-Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan province and also in the areas of Simao, Yuxi and Xishuangbanna. Hani is originated form ancient Qiang nationality that transferred to south China. The Hani language belongs to the Yi branch of the Tibetan-Burmese group of the Chinese-Tibetan language family. They engage in agriculture, well known for building terraces, growing rice and tea. Their house is earth/wood structure building with two stories and thatched roof on stilts. They keep the tradition of cosignatory. Hani is well known for their singing and dancing. The music instrument called Ba-wu is a special wind instrument homemade. The Kuzhazha is major festival of Hani and they worship of a plethora of gods and ancestors.
