  An Introduction to Lahu Nationality
    With a population of 453,700, Lahu live in the Lancang Lahu Autonomous Prefecture, Menglian Lahu-Va Autonomous Prefecture and the counties in Southwest border areas in Yunnan Province. Lahu engage in highland agriculture. Lahu language belongs to the Yi branch of the Tibetan-Burmese group of the Chinese-Tibetan language family. The Torch Festival is used to be celebrated. Lahu people Worship of primitive religion and Mahayana.
