The Gaoshan Village

 

 
  An Introduction to Gaoshan Nationality
    With a population over 400,000, Gaoshan live in Taiwan province. They call themselves as the aboriginals of Taiwan and divided in to branches of Ami, Atayal, Saisiat, Bunun, Zou, Paiwan, Lukai, Puyuma, and Yami. There are also 2,909 Gaoshan people live in the mainland of China. Gaoshan people engaged in highland agriculture with hunting and fishing as a sideline. They are good at carving and drawing. Gaoshan languages belong to the Indonesian group of the Malay-Polynesian language family. Gaoshan people believe in the primitive religion.
