The Jiang Yao Ancestral Residence of Han Nationality

The Landscapes in the Village
Original shape of ancestral residence of Jiang Yao lineage came from the Liu Jia Mao, Mizhi County, Shanxi Province. This is a residence of Han nationality in cave-style. The date of creation can be traced back to the Qing dynasty. It consists of three courtyard with cave houses in upper, middle and lower layers respectively. The courtyards were surrounded by the castle wall, castle gate and tunnel. The blockhouses were built on the wall and a corner tower was located at the northeast. The building complex was properly designed of primitive simplicity, delicacy, and integrative. It is a masterpiece of Han construction in the northwest area.
