The Ewenki Village

 

  An Introduction to Ewenki Nationality
    With a population of 30,500, Ewenki live in the Ewenkki Autonomous Banner in eastern Inner Mongolia and in the Hinggan forestland in Heilongjiang Province.
    They engage in animal husbandry and sidelined in farming and hunting. They are experienced in reindeer herding and birch bark handicrafts. The Ewenki language belongs to the Manch-Tungus group of the Altaic language family. The Spring Festival and Oboo Worship are most celebrated events. Ewenki people believe in Shamanism and Mahayana.
