| An Introduction to Banan Nationality With a population of 16,500, Banan engaged mainly in agriculture, as well as in handicraft and other sidelines. The handmade “Bonan Knives” are well-known. The Bonan language belongs to Mongolian Branch of Altaic Family. The Bonan people are good at singing “Bonan Huaer” (a kind of folk song).
