An Introduction to Maonan Nationality
With a population of 107,200, Maonan live in Huanjiang Maonan Autonomous County in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. They engaged in farming, raising beef cattle and weaving bamboo hats. The Maonan language belongs to the Dong-Sui branch of the Zhuang-Dong group of the Chinese-Tibetan language family. The Fenlong Festival is most celebrated festival. Maonan people believe in Taoism or Buddhism.
