An Introduction to Sui Nationality
With a population of 406,900, Sui live in the Sandu Sui Autonomous County in Guizhou Province. They engage in agriculture. The Sui language belongs to the Dong-Sui branch of the Zhuang-Dong group of the Chinese-Tibetan language family. Ancestors of the Sui created the pictographic Sui characters called “Sui Writing” that failed to survive. Duan and Mao are the most celebrated festivals. Sui people believe in the Primitive Religion.
