An Introduction to Mulao Nationality
With a population of 204,700, the Mulao live mainly in the Luocheng Mulao Autonomous County in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. They engage in agriculture and the rich coal resource resulted the coal mining industry developed in the area. Their language belongs to the Dong-Shui branch, the Zhuang-Dong group of the Chinese-Tibetan language family. The Lunar Year Festival, the Ox Festival and the Youngster People Festival are most celebrated festivals. Mulao people believe in Taoism and Buddhism.
