An Introduction to Zhuang Nationality
With a population of 16,178,800, Zhuang live in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Zhuang is the largest minority group in China. They engage in agriculture with the hunting, fishing and handicrafts as sidelines. The Zhuang language belongs to the Zhuang-Dai branch of the Zhuang-Dong group of the Chinese-Tibetan language family. The writing language is retained. Antiphonal Singing Festival on the Third of March in Lunar Month is most celebrated. Zhuang people believe in primitive religion, Buddhism or Taoism.
